Yea I know...I had 98 on another system and was given this one with ME on it...thought it ran OK.....BUT... I realy do not want to wipe and reinstall it all again however I will keep it in mind if/when I do need too...didn't ME come out AFTER 98????

WinME was a poorly done OS. It was an attempt to get away from buggy, old 16 bit legacy code, and this it did reasonably well. Unfortunately, there were no protections or warnings to prevent 16 bit code from running. Any time a 16 bit program or driver was loaded, it crashed.

98 is better than ME. 2k is the best of all of the Windows versions. Far cheaper than XP.
