New Shahrivar game, not on Mosehansen

I think we're still waiting on a concensus or response from Cainehill and Ironhawk, assuming the game can be restarted. And if so, we will all be able to upload new pretenders if we want, but just have to stay with the same race. At least that's what I would guess, right?

Edit: Doh! I guess Cainehill's email came right as I was typing mine.

Incidentally - if Ironhawk can easily restart it for us, I plan to use a revised map file with the pre-existing forts removed. Otherwise, as with this first game, people can grab "free" provinces as soon as turn 1. (And someone starting in #12 or #20 has two fortified free provinces immediately.)

That would be fine for me. Because if I can't get lucky next time and get a fort next door, I say remove them all.

Caine, I just restarted your game with the same settings as last time - it is no problem for me to do. I was working off the email you sent me tho, and had not seen this message. Rechecked your email and there was no attached map file. Do you want to send that to me and have me restart again? Or just go with what you've got. It's no trouble for me either way.

Ok, you game is now restarted using the sharivar_noforts mapfile that Caine sent me.

Everyone re-upload your pretenders now. Please make sure you get it right this time

Do we need the new mapfile as well, or is that handled by the server?

Only the creator of a game needs the .map file, so you don't have to worry about it.

Hmm. Think everyone will need the map file, attached to this post, since I gave it a new name so I wouldn't overwrite Sachka's original one.
