Impressed at the amount of work and the ability of the special effects for a bunch of fans.

The writing was bad, the acting was worse.

I'd recommend the cartoon network dvd of The Clone Wars over this download, myself.

Ok, I'm going for the low-blow here...

This is different from the *actual* Star Wars movies... how? Mr Lucas knows how to direct pretty effects, but a writer he is not. And I have never been able to decide if the bad acting in the films is because the writing is bad or the actors aren't as talented... but I do know that whenever I see Natalie Portman in a film, I see her, but not the character she plays. Ewan McGregor does a little better, I see him as his character about half the time. But overall, I think part of the definition of Star Wars is bad writing, bad acting. It just wouldn't be the same otherwise

Indeed the acting wasn't perfect. But we must 'judge' the people who made this as what they are..... Just Hobyists / Fans......

And whit that in mind , I can only say that I just saw some great and fun 'non-Lucas Star Wars' movie.... And perhaps the best there is........

So in short to the makers (if they listen) please start working at episode 2.......

These people aren't just fans or hobyists, there crazy, it one thing to like a movie and have some games about the movie it is quite another to go out and MAKE a movie based off of it. But if they waste all that money I say go for it.
