Flat or Threaded?

I use flat view all the time. With the threaded view, we get these staggered diagonal listings which aren't particularly helpful and you can only read one post at a time.

And all the flat-mode users (like me) just reply to the last post anyway, so all benefit of having threads is lost

...I didn't even know you could read it threaded. But that's not my favoriate anyway.
