Re: A preview of things to come?
The lady has posted that she is in fact 25, not 12.

Re: A preview of things to come?
C'mon guys. Lets try to set a good example for these potential SE fans. Insulting the boards over there wasn't exactly a good first impression. Of course they dont compare to the ones here. It's IGN. 'Nuff said.
Lets just focus on showing them the kind of community we have here without sinking to the level of behavior so prevalent in internet society. If they aren't able to fit in here they will leave. So let's try to be friendly and welcoming so we dont scare off those who would be our fellow SE addicts!

Re: A preview of things to come?
And a game reviewer? Good God, I can imagine the reviews...
"Space Empires V... the game itself is decent, but the fan community is a bunch of elitist stuck-up *******s..."
Or maybe she'd even call US immature... please, guys, don't drag this community down to the lowest common denominator - remember, to them, we're a bunch of newbies, so please don't call them childish bastards or whatever!

I say we invade that thread with cake, party ballons and those caramel applies on a stick!
I always liked those apples.

Re: A preview of things to come?
Sorry for starting this whole thing, actually... I realized I was the one who insulted them first - I just didn't do it to their face

Re: A preview of things to come?
The fact does still remain that if anybody goes around posting like the examples provided earlier, they simply won't be welcomed here until they use a more civilized approach.
New people will fit right in if they can keep their post quality up to the standards we have set over the last half decade here.

Re: A preview of things to come?
All the posts here pretty much say the same thing, only put into different words. (Same thing, only different) If you maintain high standards (not elitist), you will attract decent people to this site. Wether they come here to find out about SE, Shrapnel Games or to post a question or just a thought, AND like SJ says if they aren't happy here they will move on.
All I can say is that everyone posting on this thread is very interested in keeping this site an open and friendly forum for themselves and other. You can't hold that against anyone in trying to keep something good alive. Sometimes a thread like this should remind us all of what is here (as compared to the OTHER) and to appreciate that!!!
