Re: holiday pause?
Alas, I don't have Griffin's email as well.
I will probably also partially stale as I haven't had time to do nearly half the things I wanted done.
Clearly it ain't fair that you'd stale all the holiday. We cab either call it a tie or maybe stale together.
I guess with the turns taking so long now it is possible that we call it a tie. Though I feel I have a good chance to win, I'm sure you feel the same :-)

Re: holiday pause?
@Shmonk, I take it that you have staled last turn. After playing this game for a few months and investing so much time into it I hate to see it go unresolved. Then again, this is an unusual situation where we can't get a hold of the game's host. For the sake of fairness I concede to calling it a tie.

Re: holiday pause?
I have noticed that the timer is now set to more then 200 hours. which are about nine days. I'd say this will prevent any more stales. Taking into account that I wasn't able to give much orders the last turn would you consider continuing this game until the end?- I will understand if you don't but I'd be thrilled if we'll get the chance to bring this to game to a clear resolution.

Re: holiday pause?
I'm back.
I didn't give any orders last turn, so if we both staled, I'm fine with continuing on for a bit. I'm kind of conceding since I didn't submit any orders last turn while you did. But playing it out will be fun on the off chance I think I can turn it around and have a chance of winning.
Thanks again Griffin for changing the hosting schedule so we only had 1 stale.

Re: holiday pause?
I didn't stale last turn. I rushed my orders since I didn't have time so my turn wasn't complete either.
This is why I left it for you to decide. I would have decided the same thing had I been in your position. Simply for the fact that I don't care that much about the wining part. For me having fun is more important.
Anyway. Thanks for agreeing to continue. And best of luck!
BTW, in the turn you've staled you've killed my prophet and one of my demon lords. not bad for a stale
Edit: @Griffin, thanks for prolonging the hosting. I think it'd be good if the hosting is switched back to something like five days , 120h.
Editx2: come to think of it, it's best to leave it as is. please disregard my request.

Re: holiday pause?
Izaqyos, I hate to say it I have to concede. While I'd like to continue on for fun, I just don't have any time right now. The new year has started off with a "bang" and I have little time for this game, which takes a few hours a turn, if I really want to think about it and strategize.
It was fun though, and I got to see a lot of high level magic, so I know what to expect in the end game for other games. Great game, by the way. It was close.

Re: holiday pause?
Shmonk, I want to thank you for a great game. For me the end game was a new experience and I have learned a lot about this phase. Yes, the game was close, though I had the (purely subjective) feeling I was getting the upper hand
The truth is I'm a bit disappointed that you chose to concede, for I had some real fun in the last few rounds of our "Armageddon" war. Nonetheless I understand very well the burden of the last turns and why you have reached your decision.
I want to thank all the players of this game. This evening I will post a compressed file containing Pythium turns in this game for whomever might find them interesting.
Edit: I forgot the mention how impressed I am with the way you have played base Ulm. Truly remarkable. I would really like to learn more about your strategy, if you don't mind sharing it that is.
