Take your time working on the set. If you add just a touch more detail, another secondary turret here, sensors pod there, you'll be much more satisfied with the result, even if others won't see every last detail

I always design my ships with as much detail as possible, such as a name on the hull, a secondary or tertiary battery, an engine block, etc., even though I know no-one will even see the stuff..... It's much more fun that way

Out of curiosity, what ship sets have you done? It'd be interesting to take a look at them.

Me? The Bartelian Confederacy. It's floating around on a distant page by now, but I'll see if I can get a link. Currently, I'm working (or rather, I'm in a hiatus from working) on the Tak'renna Coalition, which I want to create for my space opera mod, also currently major WIP. I have done a few non-shipset models too, mostly for my story, and I'll see if I can dig up a link to those pics too.
