Of course, most of those missiles will only kill 1 or 2 ships or fighters. One of the glaring inconsistencies of the way the game handles the missles is that in most cases, all of the missiles are fired at a single ship or fighter of the enemy fleet.

My strategies are better than that.
Most of the missiles in the bottom right corner are heading for the heavily armored carrier that all these fighters came from.
The others will proceed to vape about a quarter of the fighter stacks.
