From what i've heard of Origins it sounds like a blast. What stops me from attending is 3665 miles, unless someone's willing to front the gas money and buy the snacks?  |

You'll have a great time if you can scrape up the funds to get there. Guys regularly come from Japan, the UK, Germany, South Africa. I'm lucky in that I live in Cleveland, Ohio, which is just a 2.5 hour drive from Columbus.
Columbus is a great city. The convention center is conveniently located, and there are plenty of things for your wife/girlfriend/significant other to do if they are not interested in games.
