Re: Will Ixsoft sell Dominions 3 ?
I preordered many games so far in the past 2-3 years, and me or a family member always had to sign a paper that I received the package. If nobody was at home, they left a small paper here, that I must go to the postal to pick up the package there. I thought that its working like this in all countries, it seems that I was wrong.

Re: Will Ixsoft sell Dominions 3 ?
Steam is for "n00bz". If you really want to ruin a game, have it published by some huge gang such as Ubisoft or EA Games.
We'd end up with an unifinished thing with no random map editor, 5 races, no unique units (every nation can train Man units only), and only 25 spells. Then it'll be flooded with expansion packs slowly drizzling the rest of the features into the game over a period of 1000 years.

I think Steam would be a good option. Is Shrapnel already publishing its Space Empires series via it? The program has gotten A LOT better lemme tell you, and it has great promise to become the digital delivery marketplace.

AFAIK,
Shrapnel doesn't publish Space Empire any more.
Steam doesn't have anything to do with neither Shrapnel Games nor Space Empires ... .

Ah, so it's all Malfador's territory then? Either way, I think a good way for Dom 3 to get noticed is via Steam.

Strategy First now owns the Space Empires series.

Re: Will Ixsoft sell Dominions 3 ?
I am old fashioned. I avoid Steam like the plague. I much prefer to hold a cd in my hands and not have my game use my bandwidth to call home to the mothership everytime I want to play it. A friend of mine came to visit with his laptop and wanted to show me the half-life 2 upgrade for Team Fortress, but couldn't run it because he could not get a connection to the net from my house at the time. Maybe it was just that particular implementation of Steam, but that was my first exposure to it.
As long as it was just an alternative for distribution and not the only method of getting a particular piece of software, I would not have a problem with it.
