Second scenario is too easy...

I'm about half way through the first one.... Not bad!! Maybe add an F16 or 2 for looks...shock and awe and all that.

I took a look at the 2nd one, it looks pretty interesting

Thanks for the good work.

finished them both... I liked the concept of the 2nd one but a bit too easy. (just sit the snipers on the hill) Good attempt. Keep 'em coming.

Both are pretty good scenarios although I do agree that the second one was too easy. Just sat on the hill and let the snippers do the work.

The first one was really good. Captured four flags leaving four flags. Stayed of the roads to avoid IEDs.

Good work Mark and thanks.

Thanks for all the commentary; I'll be revising the second scenario, and working on the map for the first one, to make simply "short cutting" across the desert less of an option.

As for why there haven't been any new scenarios; well, due to relatively tight security restrictions, and because the war is happening RIGHT NOW; I'm limited to reading news reports and seeing if a scenario can be made from such sketchy data.

So far, the war has been mainly limited to just airstrikes, so there haven't been any good scenario fodder so far...

EDIT:
Updated both scenarios, they now fall into a much higher scenario slot range; I've allocated slots 200-210 for any scenarios coming from this conflict.

Scenario I has merely been renumbered; I really couldn't figure out a way to limit movement without making the map look ugly.

Scenario II has been renumbered; and the Israeli forces have been redone to make them less sniper-crazy.

Fascinating thread here!
I actually started an Israeli Hezbollah campaign several days after the actual fighting began, and since the Syrians and Iranians are allied with Hezbollah, naturally their forces have ocassionally poppd up.

Looking at the actual level of participation the two countries have in this situation (something I like to call a hands off support of Hezbollah),I'm wondering about ways to make my simulations more realistic.
Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Depending on the "contingency level" of your campaign (i.e. size and mechanization of the forces), you may want to switch these allied forces to captured items, if that's possible at all.

That would give you Hizballah-tagged units with Iranian and/or Syrian kit, which IMHO would fit nicely in the current situation of both countries sparing material support from behind a significant political standoff.

Apart from that, I don't know how much you can regulate the amount of allied/captured forces in the IA mix, which should stay quite low.
On the other hand, maybe you can insert some odd Iranian "advisors" units, but I don't know if they should be allied or captured units, since there is officially "no Iranian fighter in Lebanon" ... (waddya think, they have all been issued Lebanese passports before leaving! )

Just my tuppence, make what you want from that.
