I'll be staying here too, though I do have one post on the new forum somewhere I think.

Sure, there may be a "fear of change" that you claim, but I can't see a single reason to move the majority of my SE-related forum activity over there...

and being "official" doesn't equate to a good reason.

Got a long history with Shrapnel, and well it would be a tragedy to move off.

Will you guys budge over a bit? This sofa is really getting crowded.

EDIT: However, I hereby propose that Shrapnel rename this forum from "Space Empires IV & V" to "The Great Shrapnel Space Empires Sofa party.

First I am not American, therefore you initial post does not concern me at all!
Second I feel very well here and the possibilities of this forum with uploading files is great.
Third if you have questions you get helpful answers almost in no time.
Forth this forum has a high level of politeness.
Fifth Shrapnel has proven to be a reliable company.

So why should I leave for somewhere else just because it is new???

That's why I said it because the initial post was adressed to Americans and countrymen, which is in this context not appropriate IMO. You could get the impression (although I am sure that this was not the intention) that the new forum site invitation was restricted to American.
