Re: Favorite new nation?
Interesting thing to point out now. In the AI games Ive played with all of the nations, Ermor took an early lead but Oceania usually surged ahead later.

I am playing with the demo, and an AI player has moved 680 units to my border province already . The whole province is filled with unit sprites there. I am really impressed about the AI so far.

Re: Favorite new nation?
I really like the Aboleths of early R'yleh. They are my favorite so far, especially the freespawn from the immobile priests. Only drawback is when you have to invade the land. Since it's early era you can't really depend on heavy infantry from indies (I got a province with "heavy infantry" but they were rather disappointing).
I tried Yomi my first game and got *killed*. The game is quite a bit harder this time around.

Re: Favorite new nation?
Hey, you're relatively local. Nice to see a fellow Georgian. ;-)
Still haven't tried the Aboleths, although I love the concept, being the D&D goob that I am. I've been too hung up on the Late Era end of R'lyeh.
I rather liked Yomi. What do you feel ended up smoking you when you played them?

Re: Favorite new nation?
I haven't tried all new nations yet, but the Bakemono are a really nice new nation, samurai orcs, goblin militia and human renegades - very nice.
