Unless the iron crutch guy is a special case, that is what happens. In a recent game my Phoenix pretender managed to get diseased and kept dying and returning with 1hp (don't think there were messages saying he'd died of the disease, it'd just reset his orders each turn and he was permanently at 1hp) until the disease cleared.

It informed me that he died of his disease, and was located in a province that had no name. He didn't show up in the capital.

Re: National Heroes
Was that a case where he was killed in battle and was also reported as dying of disease?
That may be a more specific bug. Immortals die permanently if they are killed in the same turn they would have died of disease?

He was in a battle where he started with one hitpoint, the province defense forces routed the enemy with virtually no losses, and he did not have any missiles, spells, nor units come anyehere near him.

Re: National Heroes
Interesting. Others have reported immortals returning after dying from disease. Maybe it's that he was in a battle that turn?

Re: National Heroes
Maybe he was outside the friendly domain?

Re: National Heroes
I saw one with Niefelheim the other day that I hadnt seen in Dom2. Something like Tjaste the Abductor. He was a Niefel Jarl with 3A/3W/3D and the ability to change shape into a Great Eagle.

Re: National Heroes
Tjatse the Abductor who stole the apples of immortality. In other news I have yet to see RoRlum or EA Atlantis heroes.
Early Abysia gets Malphas who hides a terrifying secret...
