I played COH at launch. In a party it's a blast but solo it's pretty boring after a while (though I'm allergic to grind levelling after playing EQ for about three years on and off). At one point they released the character creator as a seperate download, I think. The character creation really was the most fun part of the game.

Based on the reviews here and on line I decided not to get it. I really don’t get into the online game thing anyway. I mean look at SE. I have been a part of the series since SE3 (or was it 2) and have been here at the Forums long enough to know about the online games that are run. Yet I have never felt the desire to play even one. A major factor the long term fun factor and I really like the way Narf put it.

The most fun part is character creation. It's all down-hill after that.

I had a look about and apparently it was orignally released on the Korean website, where it was available for a while.
I found a few places offering fixarounds for the download but none that looked that offical. Given the dubious nature of the software I'd have to say don't bother looking for it. Particularly on bittorrent.
