I learned of the graphical messup from alt-tabbing the hard way. Though it seems one can bypass the weirdness by making sure you're in the standard world map when you minimize

Yes, I like how my troops turn into big letters of the alphabet. If you have kids, you could alt-tab, hand the computer over to them, and Dom3 becomes not only educational, but fun for all ages! I know, it's a glitch, but it's a happy glitch that we can learn to love.
