				 Fighter Groups
I know this is most likely very simple, but I can't figure out how to split Groups of fighters. I have 100 fighters on a carrier, and want to make Groups of 10-25 of them. How? Thanks! |

Just launch them in combat in Groups of 25. If not in combat, launch 25 fighters, then leave the launch screen and return, launcing 25 more fighters.
From what has been posted it seems there is no way to do this simultaneous games.

I tried, but I can't get it to work! Launch, leave, then launch. All fighters in same group. |

I've never done this, so take it as you will. However, if I remember what I read on the forums, you must do the following:
 -Launch 25 fighters
 -Leave Launch screen
-Move fighters away from carrier (2 or 3 spaces is sufficient, IIRC)
 -Launch 25 fighters
 -repeat ad nauseum

I hope that helps. Hell, I hope I'm right!

Fighters have no movs when they're lauched, you have to move the carrier away from the fighters |

				 Re: Fighter Groups
I have another question about fighters. I have experimented with using them in formations by themselves to protect warp points. Has anyone ever found this effective against humans? If so, which formations and how many fighters per group are most effective?
I have created formations of nearly 200 fighters, but PDF cannons always seem to pick them off. There must be a way to organize them to overwhelm a fleet's defenses.

This isn't true though. You can launch as many fighter as you like, in as many locations and in as many Groups as you like, provided you have sufficient lauch bays.

In other words, if you have launch bays for 25 fighters per game turn, you can launch 5, move, launch 5 more launch another 5, move and launch the Last 10. Or any combination you like.

I'm sure this is true. I'll have to check it now... |
