Multiplayer mayhem newbie seeking advice

Thank you. All advice seems very good and most of those tactics I'm already using. Only I should maybe point out I'm not Dominions newbie just haven't played MP games so I don't have any experience battling SC's or know what rituals I should really watch out for. But that being said I'm sure repeating basics cannot harm anyone. Very insightful that golem advice and that bit about armor not helping much against giants. You have really helped a lot and now I'll take my gloves off and really see what are those stocky Ulmish people are made of. I have a few tricks in my sleeve myself. It's a wonder what those smiths can do with dvarven hammers and few death gems. That lantern shield sure is mighty good. Seems to be almost too good (to be true maybe. I'm about to find out). bonus question: Do you ever use those basic MA Ulmish troops (not commanders they're all good)? Because its strictly knights and arbalests for me.
