Re: Change Elephant sound?
I went to the game directory.
There was a subdirectory called rawsound.
There was a file in it called elefant.smb
Deleting or renaming that makes the game crash when the elephants attacked.
But I renamed it to -elefant.smb then copied the el.smb to elefant.smb
That was still a horrible sound but it worked. You can experiment for what sound you would prefer as a replacement.

Re: Change Elephant sound?
Nice. You should have gone in the other direction: emuller.smp is somewhat appropriate and doesn't strain the nerves as much.

Re: Change Elephant sound?
Thank you! Thank you! That seems to work. Hopefully I won't get the "evil eye" tonight when I try to play!

Re: Change Elephant sound?
I hate the very noisy slinger firing en masse sounds and also the women screaming. Nice that they can be replaced by less irritating noises.

Re: Change Elephant sound?
I haven't tried it yet, but you can probably use the smp files included with COE2 as well.

Re: Change Elephant sound?
The mass archery sounds get so loud, and since there is no volume control, I've found I had to turn the sound off completely.

Re: Change Elephant sound?
I like the elephant sound, but have the same issues with others in the house whining about it, especially if i happen to be playing late at night. heh.
