Re: Armadillo - new game (recruiting)
Hmm, I have been thinking about the number of players for this game.
I think I will have to reserve the right to turn away players after the 15th, in case the consensus is that including more players would make the game too big. On the other hand please continue signing up in case we decide to go with more players.
What I'm worried about is what map to use. It seems to me that there's a bit of a gulf in available map sizes between 'Glory of the Gods (multiplayer)' (274 provinces) and 'Glory of the Gods' (502 provinces). In my opinion games tend to be most exciting in the 15-20 provinces/player range, and playing on the big Glory of the Gods, with 24 provinces each (assuming 22 players), sounds like it might be really quite cumbersome.
Does anyone have any thoughts, or know of any nice maps with provinces in the 300-400 range? I've not got much experience of setting up large games, so opinions are very welcome.

Re: Armadillo - new game (recruiting)
If we want to have 22 players I think a map size around 350 is probably just right. You might check some of the maps in the mod forum, or you could just create a few random maps of that size til you see one you like.

Re: Armadillo - new game (recruiting)
I'm for the smaller glory of gods. I don't mind crowded maps. Quite soon they are not crowded anymore and have a suitable concentration of players
I don't mind other settings though. Actually I don't think I have played in a big scale MP game since the early days of dom2 (more than 15 provinces each for more than 15 players or so).

Re: Armadillo - new game (recruiting)
Seems Mictlöan and Tien Chi are still unpopular. Since I can't imagine what would make Mictlan attractive I think I'll go for them.
There need to be some laws in this armadillo game.
All hail the Lawgiver!
I'll start with banning blood magic I think. Seems reasonable.

What a splendid serversite!
Nice work Llamabeast. I'm already feeling inclined to add a llama as national summon for Mictlan

Re: Armadillo - new game (recruiting)
I'll take T'ien Ch'i, contingent on llamabeast's player number preferences, of course.

Well I do enjoy playing with T'ien Ch'i, but even crossbowmen and spies can be boring after a while.

Well, there's allways the Faerun Map. (Which comes with heavily defended VP provinces, if not tampered with) There's a 324 and a 424 provinces version. I don't know of any map inbetween those two values.
P.S. And a big kudos for your remarkably lifelike topdown view armadillo.
