Heh, I didn't understand what you were saying at first, I thought you wanted to use him just to shuttle your armies around.

You mean too valuable to send him into melee, right?

If he's just sitting in the back and casting, I'd say replace the Valor shield with a Lucky Coin, and the barkskin ammy with an MR pendant. Forget about his Awe bonus if you're not using him in melee. Is he human (with like 12HP or something)? Does he have any magic paths, or just H3?
