Re: Jethanis Incident
Stardate 2439.0
After two full years of activity in the region, as well as establishing a series of forward bases in a neighboring system, United Systems Hegemony Fleet 1 has been ordered back into the Jethanis system, from the other side.
So far, sensors have confirmed that an ally has retained its toehold in the system, and USHF 1 has been ordered to assume a planetary orbit while the situation is being assessed.
During the last two years, USHF 6 has been joined by 3 more fleets in the area, has conquered one moon, and established two new, large planetary bases in the area. The USHF 2, 4 and 6 are stationed in a neighboring system, as relief vessels, expatriate transport ships, and fresh, modern capture ships come in from the home systems.
(I know I repeat myself more than just a bit. I like it anyway.)

Re: Jethanis Incident
Stardate 2439.3
USHF 1 seemingly took one of the Xi'Chung major fleet bases a little more rapidly than the local enemy forces could handle.
Shortly after the planet was conquered, a fuel depleted fleet of immense proportions came by to reprovision.
They were able to capture some 4 destroyers and take a part of a battleship in the short engagement. Now that the enemy fleet is known to be depleted, a pair of capture squadrons have been called in from a neighboring system to attempt an intercept.

Re: Jethanis Incident
Stardate 2439.5
Ship capture continues apace, taking no less than two battleships and a number of destroyers with the arrival of two more capture squadrons. Obsolete yet fascinating destroyers are taken apart for analysis, and although organic shipbuilding and armor are currently beyond reach, token levels in medium light ships have been acquired.
After a brief repair period, USHF 1 shall hunt down the weak source of fresh supplies in the system and conquer it, while the capture dreadnoughts and more nimble capture cruisers continue to mop up after the heavy enemy force.

Re: Jethanis Incident
Stardate 2439.8
About half a score of destroyers managed to escape the system on minimal power, but another 16+ destroyers remain in the system.
In addition, a pair of battleships, a few light cruisers, and many destroyers have been taken, and most are slated for the breakers. The economy is in horrifically good shape, so all of them have been designated for scientific analysis.
Along with these, a pair of captured light ships that have been attached to USHF 1 have also been looked at, and refitted to match older USH designs. Some speculation exists to see if the destroyers for harvest are advanced enough to refit for planetary defense.

Re: Jethanis Incident
Stardate 2440.1
It has been concluded that organic shipbuilding and armor are beyond our grasp. Most of the remaining 19 captured vessels shall be retained for defensive duties within the system, protecting the major planetary presence in the system, following the example of the Doruksha Empire, which owns most of the rest of the planets in the system.
With a severely limited presence of Xi'Chung forces in the system, capture ships have been returned to their fleets.
The Jethanis Incident has been concluded.
