Re: Rain?
I remember someone mentioning a bug with rain. It might have had something to do with scripting. Have a look in the bug thread just in case this is a known issue.

Re: Rain?
Did you script it on turn 1?
I find that the computer often casts a self-buff on turn 1, but on turn 2 will actually cast what you scripted.

Re: Rain?
Is it already raining?
The 'Rain' spell will not be cast if there is already natural rain in the battle. I tested this, it took 10 battles to finally get weather where it was already raining. The caster cast Rain every battle, except in the battle where there was natural rain to begin with.

Interesting. I did not know that. I will try scripting Rain on turn 2.

Re: Rain?
1.) If the Rain is cast on turn 2, that's a problem if you scripted it on turn 1.
2.) Do you have to watch for rain falling to check if it is raining on the battlefield or is there another way to find out?

Re: Rain?
A battlefield enchantment symbol will appear in the top-right corner once rain is cast.

Re: Rain?
If it's already naturally raining, there will be no symbol. But the rain graphics are pretty obvious, even at graphics level 1.

Re: Rain?
I've cast Rain twice in recent battles. The first time it worked fine, but the second time it went off properly but ended part way through the battle. I've never seen a BFE end during a battle before and don't know what to make of it.

No, I dont believe this is true. The AI will always attempt to follow its script if it can. The situation K was seeing was likely a case of no spell targets being in range or something to that effect
