Re: there is a known bug about Scorpion Man ?
It is based on the dom-ppp simulator I think, but it is limited and lacks UI, although the representation is graphical. I would like to have it more elaborate, but JK doesn't think I need it

Wow, I'm impressed.
I think it would be wonderful if one day this tool could also be shared with the players

Re: there is a known bug about Scorpion Man ?
Nooo, cos then we would know what was going to happen in battle! Well, apart from differences due to random numbers. I think it is better to leave the element of surprise.

Re: there is a known bug about Scorpion Man ?
Theoretically one could argue that deep knowledge of the game can allow a player a high degree of being able to predict battle outcomes. One could also say that its possible to use the game itself as a way to simulate battles, just play both human nations and develop them so that it would be possible to simulate battles.
Besides, randomness has very big effect in battles esp. if they're evenly matched.
All that said, I guess you have a good point as I can imagine this tool being abused

Re: there is a known bug about Scorpion Man ?
You can create your own simulator with a custom map, plus mods to change research levels. Gandalf Parker made a 4-land 2-water "battleground simulator" map, but sorry, I lost the link.

Re: there is a known bug about Scorpion Man ?
This has gone completely OT
I have DLed Gandalf's map at the time but had no idea how to make it work. I'll try and search for the original link and cont. this discussion there.
Thank you vfb.
