Re: Ascendant - EA for new guys (finding host)
It appears as though Real_friend wants to withdraw, citing internet connectivity issues. So I'm recruiting one last person I saw in the general forums wondering how to get into his first MP game. If he doesn't answer soon, I'm going to quickly find someone who will join us ASAP.
Everyone's waited long enough to play this game, I think. I'd like to apologize to anyone who signed up for a 13 person game that then turned into a 15 person game, if it's going to inconvenience.
hunt11/Yomi, get your pretender in to Ich yet?

I'll fill if your other guy doesn't get back to you, I've never played a MP before and was hoping to get in on this game but it was already full. Let me know, otherwise I'd like to be noted as wanting to join the next noobie game that starts up.

You're in. You can choose between Agartha or any nation that isn't in use yet. And no, I still haven't gotten any email from hunt11.

Dear gods, no, I would never require anybody to install Outlook Express! That would be unethical. But I do suppose that you use something to read and write your emails, and whatever it is, even if it's web-based, should be sufficient.

Alright, I'm at work at the moment but I'll have something ready by end of day today... I guess that's relative given everyones global location. I'll be aiming to have it ready ~6 hours from now as to not cause an even bigger delay.

Good. When you're done with the pretender, then send them to me via email together with the password that you picked for it to

Re: Ascendant - EA for new guys (finding host)
If someone would be kindly enough to suggest an e-mail service other than Outlook Express, I would gladly subscribe (as long as it's free).

Re: Ascendant - EA for new guys (finding host)
Outlook Express is a email client. You use it to retrieve email from an existing email account, usually one that is given to you by your internet provider. If you are looking for an free email client to use other then Outlook Express there are many choices although the most popular alternative is probably Thunderbird.
If you are looking for an email service provider there are many web based ones you can choose from and requite less setup then Outlook Express or Thunderbird. Again there are many free ones to choose from but Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Gmail are probably the three biggest ones. Personally I would recommend Gmail because of the excessive amount of storage space they give you, clean easy to use interface, and the ads on their site are not as intrusive as the ones on Hotmail or Yahoo!.
I'll be happy to help you further if you need it.
