scrugug.ogg?

i have a sounds/misc/intro_scrugug.ogg. That one with intro_ribobo and intro_skrinch are the odd little musical stingers that play when return.tga, wworlds.tga, and zorg.tga display at the main title screen. I have them for my mod because i wanted to silence them (and replace them with tiny clips of silence).

That is what I did with several sound files in the Star Wars mod.
I had to silence them so that the Star Wars themed sounds would come through better.

Clomaka, are you saying your copy of the main game has intro_scrugug.ogg as a file in the sounds/misc/ folder of the main game. Cause I'm not finding it in mine.

Are you guys on Mac or PC? I'm wondering if maybe scrugug.ogg got accidentally left out of the Mac download or patch...

I have intro_scrugug.ogg and I'm on a Mac.

Interesting. Even though I have the file I still get the same error as you do.

...and it grows even stranger. I do indeed have the intro_scrugug.ogg file on my computer. I can find it manually. However, it doesn't get listed when I do an search for files with scrugug.ogg in their name.

yup; i have that file from installing the base game. It is odd that searching for it fails - are you using Vista? My wife found the same thing when searching for a file she knew was there.

I remember this caused a bug on Mac before because there was an errant space somewhere either in the filename or the INI file that refers to it (like a space after the .ogg before the carriage return), or maybe it was a capitalization bug. It should've been fixed in the latest patch.
