Re: Server is up
It took me like 5 minutes to get onto the network the first time, so make sure you wait the full duration if it seems like it's not gonna get through.

Re: Server is up
Oh, maybe you're suffering from the mysterious "the remote server is hanging" problem then. I never experienced it myself, but it was a pretty big issue in some other games.

Re: Server is up
I connected to the new server with Dom 3.15 if that's of any help to anyone.
Having my own separate crashing issues with the new patch at the moment, so not much point me trying to connect with it to test, as I won't know if any problem are due to the server / the patch / or my computer.

Re: Server is up
3.17 ... perhaps that was a bad idea - but I wanted to get the bug fixes in.
Calahan, is having trouble with the game crashing. Speaking on that Cal, have you tried running it in a virtual environment like VirtualPC or VMware?
I find that works pretty darn well ....

Doesn't work here either.

Re: Server is up
Chrispedersen
Haven't had chance to go through any problem solving techniques yet. And will struggle to find time to do that before Sunday now. Sadly :-(
Will certainly look into creating a virtual PC environment like you suggest when I do though.
I've already submitted my first turn for Glory2 using Dom 3.15. Will that be accepted or not? (I'm guessing not if the server was created with 3.17) And will I be able to submit future turns using Dom 3.15?
If the answer is no to both questions, then it might be best to find a sub for me, since I have no idea how long my 3.17 problems will take to fix, although it will likely be Sunday by the earliest, and that's only if everything goes well.
I don't want to ask for any delays either since this game has easily had enough of those already.
Guess my aging rig may have finally caught up with me :-(
