Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
I too had a very unpleasant battle due to turn limit in my capital,
Niefelheim was attacking me with 4/5 of his whole army and 20-25 regeneration berserk Niefel giants ( there for never rout )
The strategy was darkness, skellspam , and a bunch of protection spells backed up with bane fire and some other evocation spells ( I was Helheim ). At turn 50 the regular army retreats with only the berserk Niefels left, and had the battle lasted another 10 turn more I would have killed them, but unfortunately my army started to retreat and with nowhere to retreat to I lost EVERYONE, and that was pretty much the end for me.

What exactly did that have to do with the turn limit? If anything, it helped you.

Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
All the provinces around my fort were captured, and I didn't have anywhere to retreat to after battle turn 75 when my troops started routing, and so I lost all my mages and my capital, and how do you mean it helped me?

Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
Because their army arbitrarily routed at turn 50?

Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
Not all of them, he still had about 20 Neifel giants that were berserk and didn't rout, and I couldn't kill them that easily, they had a very strong bless, but I would have won in the end if my troops hadn't routed.

Re: Painful Experiences from Battle Turn Limits
I had similar thing with my capitol, but it was shorted and I won the battle, but lost the game. I have lost elephants which had a huge part of my total HP so my mages routed when enemy was almost dead. About 30! mages routed into nowhere when enemy was strorming my castle. I easily killed 600 enemy troops and I could defend my capitol for 10-30 turns, but nah, they decided to run away because few elephants got killed.
