Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies
4.6.10 Remote mining does not need a spaceport to function. This allows you to exploit systems with nothing but Asteroid belts in them. (Binford)
-----
I had been playing for years now on the assumption it did. Personally I think this is important enough to move up the list in the 4.6 section.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies
I would like to put a copy of this newbie FAQ on my website, preferably formatted properly for my sites design.
Any interest in an XML Version of this thing that stays up to date than be be easily parsed into a variety of formats? If theres interest I volunteer to do it and to host it on my se4 pages at:
Space Empires 4 Pages
Binford
P.S. I am always looking for more se4 stuff to host if anyone has any ideas...

Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies
Hi.
Everyone is free to do what they want with the FAQ content. So please go ahead!
But, I and Slick are committed only to keeping this page at the Shrapnel forum updated, anyone doing any other Version will have to keep it updated themselfs.
Having said that, there isn't too many updates now, they tend to get more and more infrequent as the FAQ is more and more "finished" (Will probably never be 100% finished, can always be improved..) so you won't be too hard pressed keping it updated.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies
The upload forum is still there.
Make a new post and select upload file (HTML link to the left).
Having said that this type of question is best asked as a new topic in the forum.
That way you will get your answer much quicker, and the content of your question is not really oriented towards the FAQ.
In this thread it's better to post things that are to be included in the faq or that you wish to be included.
The FAQ is aimed at the SE4 game and contains some info on the shrapnel forum but it won't be expanded in that area as that isn't the aim of this FAQ.
(Will update FAQ later today I hope and include what's below, if I get time)

Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies
Make sure to upload files in the appropriate threads. Do not create a new thread in the Mods/Scenarios forum for anything.
