Bah. Just set a filter and the appropriate rules in your mail client. Against a mad automaton, automatisation is the only solution

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
It seems like the previous turn has hosted. However I've sent two turns to the server. First one was a half done turn (sent on the 29/10) and a second one (sent on the 30/10) complete with my orders.
Unfortunately the server has hosted with my half done turn causing me a catastrophic turn
I will go ahead and ask Llama for rehosting with my second turn file. I will not send a new turn file of course, I'll just ask for rehosting with my updated file what should have happened anyway if not for the server crashing.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
ok, I've reported this at the thread about llamaserver down.
A way to fix the issue was presented there - to rollback to previous turn.
From Llamaserver's description of rollback:
Quote:
"
This will cause the game to return to the previous turn.
Note that I generally recommend not doing this. The main reason for this is the fact that players have already seen the current turn, and so they know what would happen given the set of moves they used last time. Hence, consciously or not, they are very likely to use this information to change their actions next time they submit a turn. Even assuming none of the players' actions are affected, there will always be a suspicion in the mind of the other players if battles turn out significantly differently. Therefore just in the interest of having the game feel completely fair, I think rollbacks are a bad idea.
Having said that, there are situations where rollbacks are called for, which is why I've included the option here.
Read this next bit carefully. I seem to be having difficulties explaining it coherently:
Note that once the game is rolled back, it will appear that the game is waiting for 2h files from all players. However, the 2h files from last time the turn was played will in fact be there, and will be used if the game hosts without them being overwritten. This can be useful; often, a game is rehosted in order for only one or two players to retake their turns, while everyone else is expected to make no changes. The game admin can therefore wait till just those players have submitted, and then force hosting. None of the other players will stale (assuming they actually submitted a 2h file last time the turn was played).
"
So I would like to go ahead an rollback to previous turns. Those players who have had their turn files sent correctly this time should take no action. Although the server will report its waiting for their .2h files, the original files they sent are saved in the server and will be used.
Those players who had issues or errors with the turns they sent due to the server problems should resubmit the turn.
I would like to here your opinions before I rollback.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
I received a new turn from Llamma Server. Should I disregard it? As far as a roll back, I staled the turn before, so I await further instruction. Thanks.

OK. So unless I hear any objections I'll rollback the turn this evening.
This means that you can disregard your new turn.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
I didn't send any orders last turn since the llamaserver was broken. I thought we will receive some wrning before the hosting... I am therefore a strong supporter of the rollback option.
[edit : oops, too late. Well... ]

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
We will have to wait for the server to be fixed. Currently the rollback option is not working. I've tried it for like three times but it doesn't do anything.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
It seems like the server cached my request for rollback, didn't show any sign its rolling back and then all of a sudden rolled three turns back.
I'm really sorry for this
I will PM llama and ask if its possible to set game back to turn 64. Please do not delete the "Victoria: Rolled back to turn 64" emails you got as you would need those turns in case the server is set back to turn 64.
I will keep you posted and hope this unfortunate affair is resolved quickly.
