Re: Galactic War
In regards to sizes, probably the best way would be to experiment starting with the smallest in relation to the game, working up towards the largest and seeing what works the best, this is probably the best way, I know its time consuming but its probably the most effective...
PS. Your entitled to one free Pepsi at the Cantina, but don't order a pizza if the Gryphin is around.....

Re: Galactic War
okay lol. Also again what should planets represent for realisim obviously a cluster of stars but how many?Maybe make each planet equel to the size of an SE4 map and put one in each and every sector of each galaxy that way its realisitic and can be used for large wars in my rp community as well as hadrians because i think the Neoverse had a scale similer to this.

Re: Galactic War
For sizes you could start with tiny towards the outside of the sector and work your way up to huge towards the center to represent the increasing density of the galaxy. You could even have something ring or sphere world-sized near the center spaces. I think you would want a "planet" in each and every space, that is if SE4 can handle that.
Also, most galaxies have super-massive black holes in their center. Are you going to represent this in some way? As an idea you could put the warp points there.

Re: Galactic War
I assume that you are going to make it so that "planets" cannot be easily glassed as in normal SEIV. Even if "ships" represent large fleets, it would still take a large effort to clear away every inhabited planet in a large sector of space.

Re: Galactic War
of course. Also planets are not destroyable neither are suns. Also in later Versions we may see different Galaxy types with different stuff.

Re: Galactic War
if you're gonna use gold can u make use of the new quad type pics? they are cool but as yet useless.
also all check my idea mentioned earlier in this thread
also also, i think there's a limit on planet #'s in a sys. you mihgt consider making a group of say 4-6 systems represent thek quadrants so it isn't so super scaled up
