Re: Your Favorite Board/Table Top Games
Umm, let's see.... Chess, ... um,... chess, and then I play some, um, ... chess, ... and a little Monopoly, and, um, what else... I play chess sometimes. Oh, and did I mention that I like to play chess? Not that I'm any good at it, really, but it's fun none the less. My wife likes Scrabble, so I play that every so often. And I play some chess, too.
EDIT: D'oh! How could I forget Vampire: the Masquarade??? That was a fun game. But I don't have any of the books, and no one to play it with now that I'm out of college, and no time to play it.....

Re: Your Favorite Board/Table Top Games
I played the Avalon Hill "Great Campaigns of the Civil War" series nonstop. And then I got a computer. I really should try to play them again, but the stacks of counters falling over and figuring out morale and attack ratios etc. for myself would be to much like work after having it all done for me.

Re: Your Favorite Board/Table Top Games
D&D. Little lead men on the table top, running around and killing orcs. We had a big pLastic sheet that you unrolled and could write on with overhead markers. We also had a huge piece of paper with one inch squares drawn on it. Life was good.
I did buy the D&D Battlesystem, which was a table top war game and we played out a few big battles that were worked into the campaign, but it was not as much fun.
With Mom and Dad we played Life, Careers and Rummoli. Sure, Rummoli is a card game, but with that big pLastic sheet and all the pennies we saved up, it took up as much space as a board game. Backgammon was also big with Dad and I, as was Stratego. He had no idea what he was doing, he just liked seeing his young son get excited when the cunning plans worked out. Of course, I did not realize this until I was much older, so I was convinced I was a Stratego god.

Re: Your Favorite Board/Table Top Games
Hmmm...prior to working for a living, marriage and children I enjoyed the following:
(1) Ambush! & Battlehymn series (Victory Games)
(2) Starfire
(3) Gamma World/Star Frontiers
(4) Twilight 2000
(5) Of course, AD&D/D&D

Dumbluck & Tesco , I also like and play chess, even got to the point I had to teach Mrs M to play, haven't played in yrs tho, not to many around here play it, have you ever played 3 dimensional chess? I have this one its played on three seperate levels, challenging to say the least.
Saxon, Stratego, Man I haven't played that since I was.. lets just say younger, used to play it all the time, even used make up on paper different defenses & offfensive, yes its was lots of fun
Also played Pinocul & Yucker, I know their not board games but they are fun, oh and Tripoly with the family..
