Re: Make Friends and Kill Them (New PBW Game)
I'm extremely flexible. I'm an old-style GM who runs the game for the enjoyment of my players. I'd like to go with 28 hour turns but if most the players want longer I'll bow to that wish. As for the AI messing up an empire, that's why I'm going with the TDM. Most games seem to lose and gain players along the way, so I figured go with the best AI availible.

Re: Make Friends and Kill Them (New PBW Game)
48 hours is OK but I would hope we could get together one weekend and really get some turns done.
I am curious about Intel is it overwhelming or just another way to fight? I have been in a game were you have intel and in one game it was an even game in another they were overwhelming. Which is it?

Re: Make Friends and Kill Them (New PBW Game)
I don't think intel is all that overwhelming but I would imagine it depends on how it is used and on how much you build it up. I'm using it in a game right now as a way to harrass an opponent that my military can't even scratch.
Like I said in the description I'm considering making this game no intel. That would give you more points to spend somewhere else and take away the need for you to maintain another infrastructure.

Re: Make Friends and Kill Them (New PBW Game)
Hi There,
Your setup seems interesting - I would join, but for these issues:
Galaxy Size> I Think that a small galaxy (with few players) moves along faster (no more than 5-6 players I would [humbly] suggest)
Intel> I think it should be left in - It's another type of weapon (although I don't mind if it's taken off)
Surrendering> Rules of surrendering needs to be setup before the game begins. I would suggest to allow surrendering ONLY to the foe who has been destroying you. (In a recent PBW game, the Moderator surrendered to his ally when I wiped 80% of his Empire. The game became lame (for me) at that point.)
Lemme know what happends I might join up.

However, this gives preference to players who choose a TDM race. If someone wants to use a non-TDM race or an original shipset, they'll have to rely on crappier AI. That said, I'll go join your game now.

Re: Make Friends and Kill Them (New PBW Game)
Spoo,
The PBW admins have the ability to set a game to the NO AI MOD. So, I'll guess they could match AI files of your choice to your shipset. Or, maybe you could do that and email a zip file.
At least the AI files you choose would have a better chance of matching your race setup and play style.
