I second that. It's not as if dompush didn't have costs and drawbacks.
otoh, it would be nice to make preaching better, maybe by moving its resolution later in the turn sequence.
It would help dompush as well as countering it so balance would be preserved but it'd actually make useful those tons of preachers.
Is there a connection between population size and dominion spread? For me it would be logical if a 20000 people province changes faith/candles less fast than an 1000 people province. Does the game take population into account?
an interesting question. I never thought of it or read anything about it.
Intuitively and empirically I'd say no but it would be interesting to seriously test it.
