How to start Dominions in a maximized window?
Any idea how to start dominions in a maximized window on Windows?
I tried "start /MAX dom3 --window" and unsurprisingly it doesn't work.

Maybe there is some switch to control this? Or maybe to control the coordinates where the window appears on screen?

There is window and resolution size. Fudging those might get you close.
But the best Ive ever gotten was to start it windowed, then maximize it.

 | Have you tried specifying Run = Maximized in the Shortcut tab of the properties for the shortcut to start the program (the icon on the desktop or the Programs menu)? If you're not using a shortcut, try creating one and specifying that to see if it works. |

Gandalf, I was hoping you'd have a solution. I guess it just can't be done. |

Rather obscurely (and I can only confirm this works on an odd build of XP) - try having the game CTD with a nagot gick fel error while in fullscreen mode.
It works for me, but I don't know why.

 | You mean that after nagot gik fel the game doesn't disappear for you? Anyway, how would go about crashing it on purpose? |

You could also investigate whether your video drivers allow you to specify per-program settings; you'd probably need drivers from ATI/Intel/Nvidia rather than the default Windows drivers to get this functionality. |

But... if it disappeared while in fullscreen, then it begins to start in fullscreen mode thereafter. To force a crash: Hmm... Try renaming the graphics folder used by a mod nation, then start a game playing as that mod nation? |

You could put a hair dryer on your CPU. That should crash it. |
