What is "Mega Evil Empire" ... ?

Mega evil empire is the setting in the data folder settings.txt file that says when you get to 500k score and are in first place with 170% of the second place player score all the computer empires that meet you will declare war on you. If a AI player gets in first place with 250% of the second players score they will be the Mega evil empire so its not always a human player.

Basically the concept is that if one player is too strong for any small alliance of other players to defeat, everyone will team up against them. So if you get way ahead of the AI, they will all declare you the biggest threat to the galaxy and try to stomp you back down in a concerted effort.

This lets the AI do exactly what happens in most MP games among humans. When one guy gets too far ahead, everyone gangs up on them until they get knocked back down. Although I don't think the AI lets up on you if they succeed in bringing you down to reasonable power levels.

That doesn't make sense.
The US today have more than 250% more power than the number 2 on the list, yet I don't see the world ganging up on the US.
I think the oposite is true: the more power you have, the less likely anyone is of declaring war on you, and if they attack you, they use terrorist organizations so you don't have a target to strike back.
