So, thematically (not at all what you asked for but this is the stuff that gets me hard so that's what I'm writing about), boil blood requires blood magic because it specifically targets blood, but the mechanism of action is through fire.

I had thought you & I ought to get in touch, as we are at about the same stage in wonderment/expertise at this game. But now I'm not so sure....
