Yea, the more I think about it the more I realize that it'll be so much a tedious task, although not impossible. (particularly for the battle creator).
I have the basic concepts already laid down, but there's one thing that's bugging me. In this set up, we need the operational level's unit counters able to be edited to match SP's battle results, and at that I'm no expert (let alone unit editing).

I'm using Tiller's Panzer Campaigns (WW2) / Modern Campaigns (MBT) for the Ops level in mind. This can be actually a great experience for those who crave for a continuum in a military operation, not merely a one off battle (even campaigns in SP are actually a one off battle with some added bits to make it feel like continued battles).

I have always thought that this would be a great idea. Would this be comparable to Steel Panthers 3 (Brigade Combat)? My idea of a game in this area would be a game based on multiple level brigade operations using military map symbols denoting different types of combat units, and then when the battalions came in contact with each other, then combat would be resolved in Steel Panthers level battalion and below combat using individual vehicles and squads. However, this would probably be a very hard and tedious task to design a game with this complexity. What do you guys think?
