An annoying game "feature"

My favorite (not) experience with this effect is rolling up next to a vehicle suppressed by small arms fire, with an APC containing an engineer. Eng hops out and assaults vehicle with flamethrower and/or satchel charge. Sometimes, own APC gets flambéed by blast.

Tell me about it.
In situations like this it often seems you're more likly to destroy the vehicle you just exited then the one you're assaulting. I suppose because it's "moving" and the other is "stationary". I've learned from (bad) experience, never use anything with an AoE near your own units.
