There are some issues with this.

1.) I don't know what criteria NASA uses to consider a FIRS "cell" on fire.

2.) Artillery/air strike generated fires may be more likely to trip FIRS than tank battles or burning AFV.

But, it's a good way to get "ground truth"; since where big fires are = lots of artillery = battle be there.

Good video, found out some new things on this sometimes confused conflict. As for Moscow knowing that it would loose an all out war with NATO. I think Napoleon, Hitler, Charles XII, and a host of others might disagree with you, cheers.
