Imagine that! A compassionate AI.

Re: OMG! Read this to believe it!
Atrocities, you obviously must be dreaming! An intelligent AI? AI= Artificial ignorance!!!
I mean come on, the ai in SEIVG seems to think that the best way to win is send 1 ship at a tiem into a wormhole guarded by mines until its entire fleet is destroyed!

LOL!!!
Captain Styles: But Sir, do I HAVE to be next?
Admiral DeVore: Yes, Captain, it is your turn to enter the warp-point. Your ship is registry number NX-1382, and the Last ship we sent through, the Prometheus, was number NX-1381. I'm sorry, but there's no way around it.
Styles: But there are MINES on the other side! Couldn't they at least send a mine-sweeper? And why send our new fancy battleships anyway? Why not one of those old decrepit frigates that High Command has been meaning to scrap for the past 10 years?
DeVore: Orders are orders, Captain, and I expect you to follow them.
Styles: (whimper)

Re: OMG! Read this to believe it!
Some TDM AI do not make such mistakes. In fact, I was very impressed how Pyrochette sweep my 100 mines mine field !

Re: OMG! Read this to believe it!
I have found that mines are only effective for a while. Then the AI starts using Minesweepers or MS components.

Re: OMG! Read this to believe it!
I am currently playing a solo game where the Vorlon's came into my territory with troop transports in their fleet and started taking my planets. As I had the rest of my WP's blockaded, I concentrated my efforts on regaining my space from them. Then the Namovan's opened a warp point into my home system and sent in a star destroyer and, you guessed it, BAM!!!
Although the stock AI's are dumb, this is proof that a modded AI can be an effective pain in the arse!
