Same thing happens to me in my games. Say I want to trade planets or ships. If I dont write down Yullado IX and Quitarkin IV, Rock Colonizer 0014 and Akenoski 0006, I have to look them up on the galaxy map. I'd like to write the message, roll playing, then double check that I've got the names right, edit and send.
I suppose I could write in notepad and cut and paste. But I would like to edit Messages. I can come in handy.

Re: Changing a message
I'm sure you have considered this;
Folder for each game you are playing
Separate note pad or Write file for each player you deal with,
Additional files for other issues including a list of planet names

Re: Changing a message
I agree that MM should do something about the clunky Messages.
We should be able to edit Messages in a simulaneous game. Edited Messages has no effect on AI's whatsoever!

Re: Changing a message
Or see a message history between each empire... OR even at least output it to a text file...
I cannot stand opening a game up getting a reply and wondering what i said in the first place...

Re: Changing a message
In simultaneous games you can cancel most orders before they're carried out.
But the fact is that THERE IS NO UNDO FOR ANY FUNCTION.
Messages are just un example.
