Your Favorite/worse weapon poll

Favorite Weapon: Seeker Parasite. I love the sound they make. Other races fire missiles from their ships, organic races give birth to their weapon -- and they're born angry.

Least Favorite: DUC. Yes, I know they're better than other weapons early on, yes, yes, yes more damage for less research, better start early on, more advantage, blah , blah, blah. Hey, I just think they're dull.

Seriously, I usually play on medium tech just so my sci fi space ships in my sci fi game can have sci fi weapons.

1a) Helix Cannon (P&N/Imagemod) for the animation.
1b) Organic Armor for smashing great fun.
Honorable Mention) The "Sci-Fi Canon"

2) Ripper Beams. (Too short ranged, require high propulsion tech to open, and end up being out-powered by APBs anyways.)

Fave: Boarding parties, (free ships! free tech!) If they don't count as a weapon then Null Space. I just love turning heavily shielded, heavily armoured ships into tins of soup on the first hit=-) With some rapid fire backup weapons, NS rocks=-)

Least liked: Graviton Hellbore. Cool name, but not much good for anything as far as I can tell (except in the Cantina, anyway.)

Most favorite weapon: Phased polaron beam, low research and good punch even late in the game.

Least favorite weapon: Ripper beam, see comment SJ.

(Current) Most Favorite: WMG - nothing like watching enemy ships explode after one hit.

Least Favorite: the engine-killing seeker. Seems pointless when compared to the direct fire Version.

Planetoid Core mount Planetary Napalm (P&N):
Dropping Battleship sized (800kt) bombs for 25,000 damage!

[Raging Deadstar]

Favourite: Shard Cannons, combined with the high energy magnifier. Take out the shields and watch as the components are destroyed, love that armor skipping ability.

Least: Ripper Beam, or WMG. The gravitational hell born beats it hands down
