Most favorite weapon: Phased polaron beam, low research and good punch even late in the game.
Least favorite weapon: Ripper beam, see comment SJ.

(Current) Most Favorite: WMG - nothing like watching enemy ships explode after one hit.
Least Favorite: the engine-killing seeker. Seems pointless when compared to the direct fire Version.

Favourite: Shard Cannons, combined with the high energy magnifier. Take out the shields and watch as the components are destroyed, love that armor skipping ability.
Least: Ripper Beam, or WMG. The gravitational hell born beats it hands down

1. Subverter. Yay! free ships.
2. tachyon beam. Range is way too short and they don't do enough damage to weapons to make them as useful as the engine-damaging ion beam.

1a. WMG, love the high damage. Don't like the reload time (3).
1b. Telekenetic(sp) Projector(sp) awesome weapon with only a 1 for reload time.
1c. My stratagy, nothing like kicking butt with my play style.
2. Ripper Beam, never have liked them.

Favorite: Wave Motion Gun. It's long, It's Direct Fire, It damages well. It's reload time is a bit dislikable, but attach it with 2 PPB or APBs.
Also, it reminds me of the Massive Beam cannons in Freespace and Freespace 2.
Least: Tachyon Gun. I thought it was the weapon of the future when I first got this game.
Then I found it doesn't do anything...
