Re: What\'s the best AI?
TDM AI's that are the best (IMO of course): Xi'Chung, Aquilaeians, Vikings, Rage and Praetorians. Other races out there that are quite good is anything by Atraikius (Orks, Zorians, etc) and UsY's Angelic Regency. There are tonnes out there but these are the ones that stick out in my head.

Re: What\'s the best AI?
To make the TDM races harder to play against. Put them on highest difficulty, then put the bonus to High. This will give them somethink like 5X the normal points and minirals and such. It is really a challenge. Specially if you start out a system or two away from one of the races. Look out then.

A different race, and one of the best in my view, is the United Flora. Rollo did a GREAT job with the AI!

Wow, thanks for the praise, MB. The goal certainly was to make them different. It is good to hear that they are competitive, too .
Tileus, other good AI (IMO) from the TDM are the Earth Alliance and Pyrochette.
If you are looking for another mod with good AI, I will suggest Devnull Mod. Alright, I know this is a shameless plug , but I do feel quite good about the updated AI in that and two of the AI already mentioned here (Vikings and United Flora) have Devnull Mod Versions. Plus you can always stick the Space Monsters in, when using DNM. They might give you a new challenge.
Another possibility is playing Pirates and Nomads mod and patching the TDM AI to use that mod.

Re: What\'s the best AI?
About United Floral,
Phenomenal
Consistansy through out the ship set and the speach files. At the moment they are kicking some serious TDM butt. I'd give the name of the race they are crushing but I don't want spoil it for other players.\

Re: What\'s the best AI?
What do they do that's so different? I'm too lazy to find out myself.
