Re: Would it anger B5 fans if..
The only people that I have seen in the community that get upset at something like this is some of the roleplayers. They were not upset at the shipsets but at people that use the shipsets and roleplayed a race from one of the shows that the shipset represented. The reason I believe (maybe they could explain it better I was just lurking through their forum so I don't know for sure) was that anyone could use a B5 shipset and play that race so if multiple people picked the same one there could be confusion and arguments (which had already happened with the multiple people that were Terrans and wanted to use earth as a homeworld). But they didn't mind if someone used the shipset as long as they roleplayed someone different than the race from the show.
But for your own use with the game with single player or your friends no one else (if no copyrights are infringed) has any say about it.

Re: Would it anger B5 fans if..
Thanks for the responses here. Eventually, I do mean way down the road, I hope to have my own B5 -styles race. At the moment, I find that my graphic changes (mainly a texture change) look like poop, so until I can get this down right, I will not put it up for "public consumption". I am a fan of B5 and SW, so I don't want these changes to look like poop.

Re: Would it anger B5 fans if..
I am like Mephisto in that I would not use a mixed shipset. And I appreciate the fact that you went out of your way to sound your idea off before doing it. I think it is a shame that we even feel like we have to get peoples permission to do something like you are proposing for fear of getting flamed. One thing I like about this board and this community is that it isone of the friendlier, intelligent ones I have encountered Online. It still irks me though that someone in Pathfinder's situation even has to consider "asking our permission" for doing something he has every right to do.
Sorry about the rant, now I will get off my soapbox.
Pathfinder, I look forward to seeing your set when completed. Anything or anybody who fosters an interest in B5 on this site or in this game has my full support. So even though I may not incoroporate your shipset in my game, I hope that somebody who has not been exposed to the B5 universe will be curious to learn more once they see your Shadow "spiders", Minbari "angelfish" or any other ship.
Good luck!

Re: Would it anger B5 fans if..
Ha! "Friendly" Well everybody tries to be friendly in this community, but it's not always succeded. Missunderstandings are very ordinary. But this forum is rather calm, but this forum isn't the only part of the community. We've got:
SE4C: Nothing flamy going on, but a very good place to get you're questions answered since it's mainly more people that play much there than here. (I Stopped visit here while ago. But I guy reminded me, and a lot of other people)
SEC: Well, a while ago there was some fierce flamming but it's calm for the moment.
Borg: Havn't been there in a long time, even calmer than this place.
Ladder: It's moderate, something goes up from time to time.
That's what I like woth this game. There's so many places for you to meet other players, both for roleplayers (SEC, Ladder and just players (Borg). And people looking for help (SE4C)
