				 Do you use Trillian?
I recently started using trillian, and it's pretty cool. So I started wondering how many other people use it... |

Oh, and one quick question. I tried to make it so that the results could be viewed without having to vote first; but the checkbox instructions were kinda vague. Did I get it right? |

There's no option for people who know what Trillian is, but have no interest in it.

Yep, your poll is viewable without voting.

Basically, i don't use it cause none of my friends use it so hence it doesn't do me any good (with the cool smilies) because all of my friends are on AIM anyway i don't need the 3 or 4 service functions. Finally, the ads on normal AIM dont' really bug me that much

The ads in AIM can be easily hacked out anyway... IIRC, it simply involves deleting three lines of text.Quote:

 | Ditto with ICQ, except it also involves using a resource editor on the ICQCore.dll file. Run a search on everybody's favorite search engine to find out exactly how, I don't feel like looking it up again

I ended up using Trillian a while ago because I actually use all five mediums... In my hometown, ICQ is the de facto IM program. I have many friends from other parts of PA, where overall, AIM is the de facto choice. In California, it seems to be split evenly between AIM and Yahoo. And finally, MSN is pretty much the fastest growing medium, since Micro$oft pushes it on all their MSN internet Subscribers (which happens to be the fastest growing ISP among those who don't know any better). And IRC I've been using since around 1997, on and off... and I usually don't feel like loading up mIRC, so I just use the one already in Trillian.

				 Re: Do you use Trillian?
I don't use Trillian (I had to look up what it was) but then I don't use any kind of IM program, not even (?) ICQ: haven't actually found a need for one.
Then again I don't use a mobile phone much, and I've never sent a text message on one. I've never had a PDA or palmtop and I don't own a calculator (there's a ruddy great big one on my desk, you know!). Somehow I seem to be able to manage without.
Steve.
