Best way of fighting LA R'lyeh?

Not really played or fought against LA R'yleh so far and I was wondering what was the best way to go about conquering a really entrenched LA R'yleh?

We are talking 85th'ish turn of the game here.

I started off by moving scouts in but they have all become instantly insane (7+) after just 1 turn and turn red, meaning its not possible to give them anymore orders.

I am thinking mindless troops will be immune to the insanity. Is this correct? So I should attack with golems and undead?

Please suggest any types of army/SC's/thugs/magic items I could use. I have completed the research tree completely and can probably aquire anything its possible to build/forge/magic up?

So any solutions simple to complex...thanks in advance.
