Russian OOB Errror
Don or Andy,
I recently started a pbem game date 6-09. Up under the ags pl/bmp for Russia I noticed it had fighter bombers instead of bmps. I know this can't be right but there it was fighter bombers instead of apcs....  . I could not get a snap shot due to having the game full screen. Just thought I'd let you know...... |

Congratulations !
You've run face-first into the reason anyone with any common sense "suggests" (with a baseball bat) never changing a unit type in an OOB.

1) (nitpick) Bugs are unexpected programme code errors. This is merely data, so just a database error.
2) Yes - seems that something happened there in the OOB update. The template for the formation needs to be pointed at the correct APC type (BMP).

This one's my fault
Change formation #526 units 3, 6 and 9 from #136 (Lagg-9) to #333(BMP-1)
Any one who regularly PBEM with or against Russia should let their opponents know about this change otherwise the security will fail if one has it and the other doesn't ( or just avoid the formation until the next update next year )

I see you moved my post. Where exactly are we supposed to post errors like this? Can you give me simplified instructions on how to go about making the formation change??? |

I assume then you've never used MOBHack ??
Open the Russian OOB with MOBHack
Click on the formations tab
scroll down to formation 526 and click on it
Change the Lagg's to 306 ( bmps )
