If maintainence costs were lower it would be economical to robo-mine,and to offset the lower maintainence cost, ships (not units or facilities) would need to cost more. |

Yes of course if you raised ship costs too much it would just have the same effect. |

				 Re: Remote Mining
Yeah, we can remote mine with satellite Groups. I usually don't though, just because I don't like to waste time researching large satellites. |

				 Re: Remote Mining
I have not tried remote mining in a while, but didn't the latest patch fix the problem where only one satellite in a group mines?
The "history" file for the patch under Version 1.14 (one of the intermediate beta test Versions in between publicly released Versions 1.11 and 1.19) says:

 4. Fixed - A satellite group cannot remote mine with all of the satellites present.

I took this to mean that if you put a group containing a large number of remote mining satellites, every remote mining component will produce.

Has anybody tested this? I'm in the process of updating my V1.19 files with the changes I made in V1.11, so I can't run just now.

				 Re: Remote Mining
I remote mined with a battle station. It seemed the best way to put a lot of robominers in. I seem to recall having maintenance of abour 800, and income of around 1400
